Cleanliness is probably on everyone’s top priority these days. One of the things people forget to clean (if ever) is their hair brushes.
Here are 3 easy steps to clean your brushes/combs.
Tools you’ll need:
a comb
a clean tooth brush
1 cleanser mix (nothing fancy here unless you want the ultimate soaking barbicide)
For the Cleaning Solution Mix - There’s a reason the whole equal parts distilled vinegar and water idea is still around. It works. It’s a great disinfectant against bacteria, molds & mildews and tough on hard water stains, soap scums, and calcium deposits. I practically use it all over my house.
However, I hate the smell of vinegar so I opt for the citric acid powder and mix 2.5 tsp of it for every cup of water.
Step 1: COMB out the hair on your brushes.
Step 2: Submerge and soak brushes for at least 20 minutes in a cleaning solution. (see vinegar or citric acid mixture at the end.)
Step 3: Scrub with toothbrush and lay out on a clean towel to dry.
