This one is by far the most common hair myth which I should have helped debunk awhile ago.
DIRTY HAIR/ SECOND DAY HAIR IS BEST FOR UPDO’s AND/OR STYLING.
NOPE. Now, I totally understand this isn’t always the case but in most, our natural oils do start to build up on our scalp, soak up at the roots and cause our hair to look a bit more limp then when it was freshly washed. This in turn leads to a harder canvas to create volume in, especially for those with finer hair, and prevents a clean overall look. If you’re afraid that clean hair acts slippery and pins may fall, Don’t you worry! There are products that give grip, texture and hold. So if you’re my future bride (client), feel free to wash! Why not start one of the most important days of your life with fresh, clean hair!
